TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RENTAL ITEMS
Rentnet provides a wide range of rental items to simplify lives, reduce costs, and promote sustainable consumption. These terms govern the rental of items through Rentnet’s platform.
1. Rental Process
1.1 Request and Booking
- Clients can browse the available rental items on Rentnet’s platform and submit a request for the desired item.
- Rentnet will confirm the availability and provide the rental terms, including duration, cost, and any security deposit required.
1.2 Inspection and Handover
- All rental items are inspected for functionality and condition before being handed over to the client.
- The client is required to inspect the item during handover and confirm its condition by signing a receipt or digital acknowledgment.
1.3 Return Policy
- Rental items must be returned in the same condition as received, except for reasonable wear and tear.
- Items should be returned by the agreed date and time to avoid late fees.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Rental Fee
- The rental fee must be paid upfront for the agreed duration.
- Any additional days beyond the agreed duration will be charged at the daily rental rate.
2.2 Security Deposit
- A refundable security deposit may be required for certain items.
- The deposit will be refunded upon return of the item in satisfactory condition, after deducting any charges for damage, loss, or late return.
2.3 Damage Charges
- If the rental item is damaged during the rental period, the client will be responsible for the repair or replacement cost.
- Rentnet will assess the extent of the damage and provide a detailed report of the charges.
3. Usage Terms
3.1 Proper Use
- The client must use the rented items only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the provided instructions.
- Misuse or overuse of the item that results in damage will incur additional charges.
3.2 Prohibited Activities
- Sub-renting or lending the rented item to a third party is strictly prohibited.
- The use of the item for illegal activities is not allowed and may result in legal action.
3.3 Responsibility During Rental
- The client assumes full responsibility for the item during the rental period.
- Rentnet is not liable for any loss, damage, or harm caused by the misuse of the rented item.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
4.1 Cancellation by Client
- Cancellations made before the rental start date may incur a cancellation fee as per Rentnet’s cancellation policy.
- No refund will be issued for cancellations made after the rental period begins.
4.2 Cancellation by Rentnet
- Rentnet reserves the right to cancel a rental booking due to unforeseen circumstances, such as item unavailability or operational issues.
- In such cases, the client will receive a full refund.
5. Late Returns and Penalties
- Items not returned by the agreed-upon time will incur a late fee calculated on a daily basis.
- If the item is not returned within a specified grace period, Rentnet reserves the right to take legal action to recover the item or its replacement cost.
6. Liability and Warranty
- The client accepts the item “as is” after inspection during handover.
- By using any rental item, users accept full responsibility for their safety and the item's proper use. Rentnet disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or injuries arising from the use, misuse, or malfunction of the rented items.
- The client is liable for any theft, loss, or damage to the rented item during the rental period.
7. Feedback and Quality Assurance
- After the rental period ends, clients are required to provide feedback on the quality and usability of the rented item.
- Rentnet is committed to maintaining high-quality rental items and will act promptly on feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
8. General Terms
- Clients are required to comply with local laws and regulations while using rental items.
- Rentnet reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
- In case of disputes, Rentnet will work to mediate and resolve the issue. Unresolved disputes will be subject to jurisdiction as per the governing law.
Service Terms and Conditions
At Rentnet, we connect clients with service professionals for a variety of short-term and long-term tasks. These terms and conditions outline the process, payment structure, and responsibilities for using Rentnet’s services.
1. HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
2. ASSESSMENT BY THE SERVICE PROFESSIONAL:
- Upon arrival, the service professional will evaluate the issue and provide:
- A clear explanation of the problem.
- An estimated cost that includes the price of materials/repairs and daily service charges.
3. CLIENT CONFIRMATION:
- The client must review and approve the estimated cost before the service professional begins work.
- Confirmation from the client is required to proceed with the service.
4. FEEDBACK MECHANISM:
- After the service is completed, the client must provide feedback on the professional’s performance to ensure Rentnet maintains high service standards.
2. SERVICE CHARGES
1. FOR DAILY SERVICES:
- Rentnet will charge a fixed service fee for arranging daily service professionals.
- This fee is non-refundable and applies even if the service professional does not perform the work, as it covers the cost of connecting the client with the professional.
- Rentnet may request an additional fixed amount (beyond daily wages) for providing on-demand services.
2. FOR MONTHLY SALARIED SERVICES:
- Rentnet will manage the salaries of professionals employed on a monthly basis.
- The client will transfer the professional's salary to Rentnet, from which 5% to 10% will be deducted as a service charge.
- The remaining amount will be credited to the professional’s salary account.
3. PAYMENT TERMS:
- Payments for daily services must be settled at the end of each day.
- Monthly salary payments must be made by the agreed-upon due date.
3. PROFESSIONAL REPLACEMENT
- If a client no longer requires the services of a professional for valid reasons, Rentnet will replace the professional at no additional cost.
- Replacement will also be provided if the professional is unable to continue due to unforeseen circumstances.
4. SALARY ACCOUNTS AND BENEFITS FOR PROFESSIONALS
- Rentnet ensures that all professionals employed on a monthly basis will have a proper salary account.
- This system enables professionals to access benefits such as:
- Eligibility for bank loans, based on their salary account history.
- Financial stability and secure transactions.
5. CATEGORIES OF SERVICES PROVIDED
1. DAILY SERVICES:
- Labour services for agricultural tasks like planting, harvesting, or other seasonal needs.
- Domestic help, such as plumbers, carpenters, and electricians.
- Logistic services, including drivers and delivery personnel.
- Construction workers for short-term or one-off projects.
- Event management professionals for planning and executing events.
2. MONTHLY SALARIED SERVICES:
- Long-term professionals, including:
- Office staff.
- House cleaning staff.
- Cooks.
- Babysitters.
- Drivers.
- Caregivers.

- By engaging Rentnet’s services, the client agrees to these terms and conditions.
2. NON-REFUNDABLE SERVICE FEES:
- All service fees charged by Rentnet are non-refundable, irrespective of the outcome of the work.
3. PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
- Clients are responsible for ensuring timely payment to Rentnet for all services rendered.
4. DISPUTE RESOLUTION:
- In case of disputes regarding service quality or costs, Rentnet will act as a mediator but will not be liable for the service professional’s performance.
5. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:
- Rentnet ensures background verification of professionals, but the client must report any misconduct or unsatisfactory service immediately.
6. CLIENT FEEDBACK:
- Feedback from the client is mandatory after the service is completed. This is vital for quality assurance.
7. COMPLIANCE WITH LABOR LAWS:
- All monthly salaried services will comply with government labor laws, and salaries will be structured accordingly.
8. ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR ON-DEMAND SERVICES:
- For daily services, Rentnet reserves the right to charge an additional fixed fee for providing on-demand assistance.
